Doza

Co-Founder // Director // Editor // Animator

Katrina Alexandra Mon’tros Mendoza (artistically known as Doza) originally conceived of Ditch The Box Studios as a student at Stanford University with a strong desire to empower diverse and creative community engagement. She worked in the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, studying the television industry’s relationship to user feedback at 20th Century Fox Television while earning a Master’s in Communication and Entertainment Management at the University of Southern California. After graduating with seven years of experience studying while also working in event production, and playing ultimate frisbee at a National level, she moved into an entrepreneurial eco-village in San Diego. Building websites, fire dancing, permaculture design, and community organizing are some of the few things she learned how to do before catching the tech bug and moving to San Francisco to explore the tech industry.

Doza worked in the start-up and nonprofit industries, focused on the power of technology and activism to create social impact. A strong desire to empower the arts and to follow a growing sense of mysticism and spirituality prompted her to move to Santa Fe. She now lives in Santa Fe, New Mexico, directing the vision for Ditch The Box Studios, and working as an editor with over a decade of experience.

Anaid

Co-Founder // Director // Cinematographer

An abstract artist and cinematographer born in Morelos, Mexico, Anaid immigrated with her family to Colorado U.S.A. when she was 12 years old. As an adult, Anaid built a career around improving the customer experience through a variety of technical and operational perspectives, which culminated in working for the tech industry in San Diego, CA. While developing her practice and craft as a painter, Anaid cultivated an eye for composition and imagery that quickly translated into professional experience as a graphic designer. Her passion for empowering positive life experiences led her to work with community organizations in Santa Fe, New Mexico, where she produced large scale events to celebrate artists and expose young, fresh talent to employment opportunities. Eventually, Anaid and Doza realized that digital marketing means everything when cultivating community, and there’s nothing more powerful or moving than video storytelling.

Anaid now focuses all of her energy in cinematography, using the camera as a lens for empowerment, creativity, and positive change.

“I want everyone to know they can do, be, and have anything they want through intentional and empowering work. My passion in life is to help people heal and connect through self-expression. After all I’ve been through, I realize we all have the power to heal ourselves, change our lives, and allow that to reverberate into positive changes with others around the world.”
